A graduate of Columbia College Chicago with a B.A. in Art and Design, Ellyn Leahy has been oil painting for over ten years. Her work explores identity, loneliness, and interpersonal relationships through bold color and smooth brushstrokes. Her vivid, portrait-like depictions of animals invite the viewer into a surreal realm where rhinos have two heads, deer prey on wolves, and the sun descends in a purple haze over foggy mountains.

Her work has been featured at the Fulton Art Lofts, the Den Theatre, and the Secret Vault in recent years. She currently is launching a custom service to paint bridal bouquets for brides who would like a beautiful memory of their wedding day, without the inconveniences of drying and storing their flowers. As a floral designer and an artist, Ellyn is uniquely qualified to preserve bouquet designs.
